— If you have glaucoma and/or taking blood-thinning medications such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Coumadin, etc.

— If you have skin diseases such as eczema or psoriasis in the area to be treated.

— If you have undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the area to be treated.

— If you have diabetes you may still get this procedure but a doctor’s note is required.

— If you are prone to keloids.

— If you are taking medications such as Accutane (has to be off Accutane for at least a year)

— If you are scheduled for radiotherapy or chemotherapy treatment in the next two months

— If you are epileptic or if you have experienced faint spell or seizures.

— If you are pregnant or breastfeeding

— How long does it last?

The procedure can last between 12 months to 3 years depending on skin, lifestyle and other factors. Yearly touchups are recommended to main the color and shape.

— How will it heal?

For both the powdered ombré and combination brows, healing takes about 2-3 weeks.

Phase 1: For the first 3 days or so (post procedure) your brows will get darker.

Phase 2: About a week after the treatment it will start to scab off. You might get tempted to pick on them. DO NOT pick on your scabs, your brows will heal unevenly and might even cause scarring. When it scabs, the skin underneath will look a lot lighter. Let the scabs fall off naturally. Follow all the aftercare instructions carefully.

Phase 3: Once the scabbing is gone, the brows will appear significantly lighter, but the color comes back as your skin continues to heal.

The color maybe lighter, or there might be some unevenness, all of that will be taken care of during your follow up appointment.

— How long is the appointment?

It takes about 3-4 hours for the brow procedure. The eyelash line enhancement procedure takes 2 hours and lip procedure takes about 3 hours. The time may vary, as some clients may require extra time, or additional passes to get the desired color and shape.

— Does it hurt?

Pain threshold levels vary from person to person. We use topical anesthesia on procedure area with three step process and continue to numb it during procedure. There could be mild stinging. It could get a little sore post procedure but the discomfort goes away.

— How many touchups are required?

Most clients require only one touch up after initial procedure, some clients may require more especially if they have very sensitive skin. Yearly touch ups are recommended to maintain the color intensity.

— Should I have yearly touch ups?

Yearly touch ups are recommended to maintain the color intensity but if you are happy with the color and shape then you do not have to come for yearly touch up!

— All permanent cosmetic procedures are multi-session processes. You are required to come back for at least one touch-up visit before it can be determined that your work is complete. Touch-up visits are scheduled at 6-12 weeks intervals or longer.

— Be prepared for the color intensity of your procedure to be significantly sharper, brighter, or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. It will take time for this transition, based upon how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates.

Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it best not to make any social plans for a day or two following any procedure. It is always best to avoid these procedures within months prior to important life events such as weddings. Procedures may take longer than expected to be complete under some circumstances.

— Wear your normal makeup and bring your lip color or brow pencils to the office on the day of the procedure.

Any tweezing or waxing should be done at least 48 hours prior to the procedure; electrolysis no less than five days before. Do not resume any method of hair removal for at least two weeks.

Any eyelash or eyebrow tinting or eyelash curling should be done no sooner than 48 hours before, or two weeks after the procedure.

— If you are coming for an eyeliner procedure do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the eyeliner procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pre-tattooed condition.

— Following the EYELINER procedures, as a safety precaution, we recommend that you have someone available to accompany you or drive you home.

— If you are having lip procedures and have any history of cold sores/fever blisters/herpes simplex, you will be required to contact your physician to obtain the proper prescription to prevent such outbreaks.

— Refrain from the use of alcohol, aspirin, aspirin-containing medications, ibuprofen, or other blood-thinning medications for seven days before and two days after any procedure. Refrain from judgment-altering drugs for at least 24 hours prior to any procedure. No medication should ever be discontinued without first consulting your physician.

— A skin test is offered upon request.

Proper care following your procedure is necessary to achieve the best results. Keep in mind that in many cases, some unevenness of color is to be expected. This is the purpose of the touch-up visit. Please review the following aftercare instructions

— Wash your hands before touching any treated area. Cotton-tipped applicators may be used to gently cleanse the eye area. Do not expose the area to dirty or unsanitary conditions. Wearing glasses outdoors is a good way to protect new eyeliner from dust that can stick to healing agents. Apply recommended healing ointments sparingly. (ointments will be provided)

— Some itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color may heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection.

— No makeup is to be applied for 72 hours after the procedure. After any eyeliner procedure, use new mascara. Do not use an eyelash curler for two weeks.

— Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, hot tubs, (tub baths if body area treated), saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools, direct shower spray, hot water, skin creams, ointments, or lotions other than what you have been instructed to use for 2 weeks following your procedure.

— After a lip procedure, keep your lips moist at all times. Avoid spicy foods or heat. If using herpes medication, continue as prescribed. Do not use teeth bleaching products until fully healed.

LONG-TERM CARE

— Use a good sunscreen daily - even the lips require protection. Sun exposure will fade your permanent cosmetics and may cause irritation even years later.

— If you are planning chemical exfoliation, MRI, or other medical procedure, please inform your physician of your cosmetic tattoo.

— If you donate blood, it is a Red Cross policy that you must wait one year after any tattooing procedure in unregulated states – check if restrictions apply to you.
